FINAL DAYS

This month we were able to get away for a day to celebrate Natalie's birthday.  She chose to go to Santa Cruz in Homun, Yucatan to ride on 4-wheelers from cenote to cenote.  The first couple hours during our 4-wheeler drive, we had the cenotes all to ourselves.  One of the amazing things that we didn't expect were to see so many Toh Mayan birds.  We rarely spot one in Motul, but here we would see 4 or 5 of them in the entrance of each cenote.  It was a lovely memory and time with the family.

This year we engaged more than we ever have in World Cup.  As we would route for the team to win, first with Mexico, we were let down with a loss.  Then when they were out, we routed for the U.S., but unfortunately, they didn't make it either.  We streamed the final game in the youth room after service on Sunday.  Many stayed and brought their own food and drinks to have lunch together as we routed for Spain to win.  After the game went into overtime, we were happy that they won.

Len's dad went into the hospital this month.  After a lot of tests, it was found that both his kidneys and liver are failing.  Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done, and his health has been declining rapidly.  After speaking to the doctor over the phone, Len and Noah hopped on a plane the next day to go be with Len's dad in his final days.  We ask for your prayers for our family as we go through this difficult time.  Also, please pray for the church and ministry here in Motul, while Len is away. When the time comes, if the Lord permits, Natalie and Caleb would like to join their family in Florida and attend the funeral. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
